Even-odd metadata page thumbnails numbering?

Hi there,

I'm trying to change the numbering metadata of a PDF document on Acrobat Pro XI.

I know how to do it in a normal fashion, the problem is that I have a PDF document with two pages per slide, (so that each slide looks like this, for example: http://www.ghc.edu/it/tips/Shrink_files/image002.jpg).

What I want is to number the document so that from page to page, there is a two-page step (i.e. 1,3,5,7,9,...).

However, Adobe Acrobat doesn't offer this option; when right clicking on a page -> Number pages... -> Style (http://www.planetpdf.com/images/1-Tip-DB_APN.gif), the only available styles are:

1,2,3, ...

i, ii, iii, ...

I, II, III, ...

a, b, c, ...

A, B, C, ...

But I want

1, 3, 5, 7, ...

Is there any other way to do this?

I am NOT looking for physical page numbers, that appear on the actual document, but for the page-numbering metadata that appears in the page thumbnails section.

I have found other questions about the physicial page numbers (e.g. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1032203), but I want the numbering metadata in the page numbering section.

Thanks!
