I receive PDF files from Engineers & Architects which I presume were created from AutoCAD (or similar) software. Many of these files appear to have individual layers. I.E.: when I open them, I see a split-second delay between certain lines appearing on screen and other lines. This split-second delay happens again when I zoom in or out and the PDF file is re-drawn on my computer screen. If I hit the [Print Screen] button immediately after hitting a zoom in or out, I can capture a screen image of the lower layer(s) in the PDF file without the topmost layer(s). I can provide image captures upon request. However, most of these files do not have any option to display individual layers. The layers tool does not appear at the top left corner as it does in some other files.
Is there any way to force Acrobat to display/print/save individual layers and not others?
