Please forgive my ignorance on this--I'm usually an analogue kind of person, but I recently assembled a PDF photo+essay monograph (20,000 words, 100 images) in Acrobat XI Pro for limited publication for the sponsoring organization (which doesn't have the resources/knowledge to help with this stage).
The original is set to be printed in full color and was designed as such (RAW files were saved to RGB 300dpi jpegs via Lightroom). However, I want to make available a more cost-friendly, B&W interior version as well. (The original photos are available online, so they just need to not look like total crap in the B&W print rendering in this edition.) I've got about 2 weeks to make this happen, so I'd rather not start from scratch with the RAW files unless absolutely necessary (again, these don't have to be gorgeous B&W images in their own right, just preserve content/composition and a reasonable amount of quality in mass reproduction). We'll be going with createspace.com this time around.
Is there any way to do this within Acrobat XI Pro (which I just downloaded a trial of this weekend for the color version, and have no experience with)? If not, what optimal settings am I lookng at for conversion in Lightroom 5? Thanks so much.
