We notice that when we remove hidden information from our PDFs in Adobe Pro (we have a mix of 10 and 11), the file size increases dramatically. Then if we optimize to shrink that file, it does not shrink back to anywhere near what it originally started at. For example, a 6 meg file may be 16 meg after removing hidden information. Then after optimizing the 16 meg file, it is now 10 meg. This is a big issue with us as we submit files to a formal efiling system that restricts us to a small file size and we do not want to spend extra time splitting files after removing hidden information.
