Saving pdf to Excel worksheet

I am trying to save an Adobe Acrobat file as an Excel file.  When I save is as either an Excel MS Workbook or XML Spreadsheet 2003, all the information from the first column on the 2nd page gets lumped together in one cell after the data from the first page.  I have saved this same report for months using Adobe 9 without a problem.  Why is this happening in this new version?
