Adding video resourses to PDF in acrobat

I created an digital publishing document in indesign CS6.

It is 44 pages and includes videos and animations.

I exported the entire document as a SWF and then I placed that SWF back into a single page indesign document and exported it as an interactive PDF.

Everything works great in Acrobat  expect the videos don't play.

I found that indesign created a folder with my video resourse and I should be able to add these to my interactive PDF .

So I open up my interactive PDF in acrobat and when I click on the add SWF button a big white box appears with a flash logo inside it.

I can resize the box or delete the box and when I do I just see a white blank page. The contents of my 44 page interactive presentation just disappears.
