I'm converting grey-scale tif files of scanned sheet music to PDF with Acrobat 9 Pro and having trouble with halos of grey pixels that appear around everything in the PDF. They weren't there in the tif. I can't see them when I print the document, but I'm wondering if these artifacts are increasing the file-size of the PDF. Plus they just annoy me. Is there any way to get rid of these, other than using "Optimize Scanned PDF" after the conversion has been done?
