I have a cross-reference in Word in the header that is not coming through in the pdf.
I am effectively creating a navigation bar in the header using this technique. I am constructing the ability to navigate to any of the Heading 1 styles. When I go to the pdf, the ability in the header to navigate isn't working.
I have tried several things in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI including using the Add or Edit Link function, but I don't think I should have to do this linking on every page of a 30-page document. There are only five heading 1 styles I want to navigate to from anywhere in the document.
I created a Header in the pdf file, but the linking is not carrying from page to page to page.
What do I need to do differently? Or, am I trying to do something Pro XI can't do?
