Hi,
My question will seem a little odd, but here's what I'm trying to do.
I'm preparing stress and fail tests for printers. This means that I want to see what happens when I print a non-standard PDF. I don't expect it to print right, but I want to see how well it does, what driver settings are needed, etc. For instance, with multiple page orientations, some printers will stop, others will smoothly turn the pages...
Can anybody suggest ways I can produce such "challenging" PDF's? What I have in mind so far is:
- Create a PDF with no font embedding;
- Create a PDF with mixed page size and orientations;
- Merge two PDF's of completely different origins, and different attributes (different fonts, encodings, image compression). I'm trying to find an old version of Acrobat (3 or 4) to produce as outdated files as possible...
Any other idea? Can I remove an embedded font, or even specific glyphs from an existing file? Is there any way I can play around with font encoding?
I'll appreciate any idea on how to do things wrong!
Cheers!
