When print report cuts off left letters of report

My husband gets his work reports as PDF files then I have to print them the problem is that I can't change the original file and when I print the file it cut off the first 6 to10 letters of the whole document I changed  it to landscape and now it still cuts of 3 to 5 letters of the document and there is lots of room at end of paper is there some way to fix it  so it does not cut off left side of the report any help will be greatly apprecatied
