I have produced, for a local charity organisation, a newsletter in Serif software which I ultimately exported as a PDF for both direct e-mailing, and also, uploading to the charity’s website. However, I am told by the “webmaster” that having locking it against alteration with a password is preventing it from being uploaded to the website. Everyone who has received it by e-mail has no problem opening it et cetera. Can anyone explain what either I or the “Webmaster” might be doing wrong or can you not upload if you lock a pdf with a password?
