Acrobat X (10.1) - Batch files without stealing focus

I am using Acrobat on Mac OS X 10.9.2 to batch save EPS files as PDfs. I have created an action using the action wizard to do the batching.

Everything works fine except when the action is running, Acrobat keeps on stealing focus, so I can't use any other application.

How can I get the batching to run without it stealing focus. 

The reason I am using Acrobat is because Illustrator tends to skip over some of the EPS files. Illustrator also makes the PDFs too large.
