Hi, I'm new to Adobe Acrobat X Pro and was hoping that somebody might be able to help me out.
I need to create some technical document packs which comprise of a series of standard documents / sections, some of the standard documents will be applicable to all packs whereas some will only be applicable to some of the packs (if that makes sense). I could create these new each time however when these standard documents change then they need to be updated in all document packs. There is the potential that I could have around 500 - 1000 document packs in total.
The way I was thinking of doing this was to create the series of standard documents and publish these to an internal web server. I can then create a 'master page' which has the applicable hyperlinks (just basically a page with hyperlinks) and then using the 'Web Capture --> Append All Links on Page' function this would then create the complete document for me.
On initial trials this works great, so wanted to try an automate this function using the batch processing option in 'Action Wizard'.I can create a new action, however when doing this I notice that the 'Web Capture --. Append All Links on Page' function isnt available. Am I missing something or is just not possible? Or should I be looking at javascript?
Or am I missing a trick with acrobat and should be tackling this issue a completely different way?
