I have the same problem, I really would prefer to be able to re-open my temporary file rather than re-scan more than 100 pages

Images in editable PDF not showing when emailed
I am creating an editable PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I have created an image field and used the code
event.target.buttonImportIcon();
in Actions: Select Actions: Run Java Script.
I then test my file by opening it in Adobe Reader (this is what my clients will be using),
I place the image (.jpg) I would like to use, save to my desktop and email the file (which is what my clients will be doing).
When I test the file by opening it on my own mobile device - the photo does not appear.
I will need the image field to be editable so that my clients can place their own image, then email the PDF.
Thank you for your help!
Issues Running Adobe
The company I work for has an annual subscription that allows for two computers to run the software at once.
Which our designers use most of the time. The rest of us in the office still use an older version of adobe to check and review files.
Recently Adobe has stopped letting me open and save files. I am able to view local PDF's, but when I try and access files from our server, I have constant errors.
Files rarely opening and when they do, it crashes shortly after.
Please contact me with some guidance.
Thank you,
Trevor

Acrobat Distiller crashing with certain settings
We receive PDFs from many different sources, and made with a variety of tools. In a certain circumstance, it is helpful to perform a redistill with "Convert From PDF" settings PostScript-->"PostScript Language Level 2" and "Convert TrueType to Type 1."
Suddenly last week that stopped working. The Distiller would crash shortly after beginning the processing of a .ps file in a watched folder.
It still works with "PostScript Language Level 3" options, but those Type 1 fonts really help a type of file made with a certain fruity PDF creation tool.
Any ideas out there what the problem might be?
I have
1. performed a "Repair Installation,"
2. uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat DC,
3. had IT help with reinstalling fonts.
Dov, I've been reading a long time, and I know that you're gonna react strongly to the question itself. And I already know what your answer will be. But I can't find another way around this particular problem. Would really like for this process to work again.

create pdf from outlook email folder?
Need help in creating a pdf of all emails in a Mac Outlook folder. Cannot locate any specific instructions elsewhere. Thanks!
Merging PDF files exported directly from InDesign (using Organize Pages>Insert from file), objects dropping off pages randomly
When merging chapter PDF files exported directly from InDesign (using Organize Pages > Insert from file...), objects randomly dropping from pages in merged file. Original chapter files are OK. Issue always with the same object, a vertical rule dividing 2 columns on pages, objects dropped randomly throughout file. Object was locked on master pages, sometimes detached to shorten. However, no relation to pages with dropped rule and pages where object either locked or detached from master. Any ideas?
How to create a pdf larger than 200 inches
I need to create full size pdfs greater than 200 inches every week.
What product / plugin / operating system do I need to use? If Adobe can't do it, does anyone know another software program that can?
Postscript Crashing since last update (Acrobat Pro DC)
Hi Guys,
Since the last update (2019.010.20091), my team and I have been having issues with our PDFs not postscripting, causing distiller to crash.
As background, we use another program (Nitro) to combine a range of documents, email messages, text files etc into a single PDF. We then open the PDF in outlook and save as a Postscript, and then use the postscript to create a usable file. The reason we use postscript is that not doing so interferes with another plugin we use for redacting information.
Prior to last week, which I can only attribute to the 2019.010.20091 update, this worked just fine. The key sticking point seems to be when an outlook .msg file has been converted to PDF by Nitro. (as in PDFs without those emails will postscript fine, emails with them in will crash)
We use Nitro because Adobe doesn't support bulk convert/combining outlook .msg files, and these are a substantial portion of the documents we deal with.
This is extremely frustrating, nothing has changed on our end in terms of process or software, other than Adobe breaking things.
Apologies if this is not in the right section, it's the one that made the most sense to me.
The error given is below:
The problem occurs across multiple computers, with multiple combinations of documents, the commonality appears to be where the outlook files were involved.
Bug with "Combine files into a Single PDF" feature
This has been happening for awhile and restarting Acrobat fixes it but it's annoying none-the-less.
Steps to recreate:
- Go to File > Create > Combine files into a Single PDF
- Create a pdf with multiple pages
- Repeat steps 1 & 2 multiple times. The screen you're supposed to get after step one is this one. But when the bug happens, I get a grey screen. I can still see the "Combine" button but can't add files.
My software:
I'm on a Macbook Pro using Acrobat Pro DC. Here's the version:
I just tried to recreate the problem myself and can't make it happen of course. This happens at least once a week for me so I'll update with a screenshot.
How to link to a page / destination and ensure it opens to the correct zoom
I have created a PDF with chapter destinations. When I link to the PDF (specifically, to a destination in the PDF) I want it to always open to page-width. So far I've set the default magnification in the document under Properties, and when I link to the PDF (i.e. http://...file.pdf), without a destination specified, it opens to that zoom. When I link to a specific destination (i.e. http://...file.pdf#ch12), it opens to a full page view.
Is there any way to ensure that the PDF opens to page width zoom when linking to a destination in the file?
Unable to find Adobe PDF Resource Files
Have an issue with a new installation of adobe acrobat standard DC with office 365 install and windows 10. Whenever the user attempts to create a new pdf from an office document, say excel, she clicks on the Acrobat tab at the top of office and then clicks on create PDF. Immediately she gets an error "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files. "Acrobat PDF Maker" You must have administrator privileges to install these files. Please contact your local system administrator."

Gracias.
Cordialmente,
César Gómez Naranjo

Watermark not showing up on all pages
Anyone out there have any insights into making sure watermarked text show up on all pages of an Acrobat document.
We are placing these on a large format PDF (22x34) 14 page document and for some reason, there are two pages, #11 and #12 that do not show the watermark.
We have selected the watermark to appear on all pages.
On another note: are watermarks only removable by the creator of the PDF?
Thank you
When PDFing keep getting "Acrobat distiller has stopped working"
Since last Friday I've been unable to save my FrameMaker book file as a PDF. This book is made of 20 files. I've saved it as a PDF many times over the past several years with no problems. A week earlier, I created PDFs of 10 other books the same size, and a PDF of another book that's over twice as large. But now I keep getting, "Acrobat distiller has stopped working". I can save as a PDF if I include only a few files from the book, and I can save individual files as PDFs, but only the smaller files. I've installed updates for FM and Acrobat and tried different PDF Job Options. I tried printing to Postscript, and opening the .ps file in Distiller, and got the same result. My hard drive has over 75% space remaining.
System details:
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- Acrobat DC, Version 2019.010.20091
- FrameMaker 2017, Version 14.0.4.511
Any ideas?
My Adobe PDF printer just stopped working last week (Feb, 2019)
Help!
My Adobe PDF printer stopped working on a Windows 10 updated system- this may be the problem?
I deleted it from my printers and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro with the Adobe PDF printer. It just sits in the spool mode or printer mode indefinitely when using with Word or Word Perfect to print PDF files. I have gone online and loaded the latest Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro software and reinstalled it again deleting the Acrobat PDF printer and reinstalling with the Acrobat 9 Pro. It still hangs up in the spool and printer direct mode. What do I need to do to get it working again.
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Best Regards, Brother James
Cannot move or delete a pdf file in Windows 10
I have scanned a file to pdf on my Windows 10 PC. Now I cannot rename it or delete it. Whenever I try it says the file is in use. I have gone into Task Manager and closed any running application that has Adobe. This makes no difference and I still cannot move, delete or rename the file. The only way to delete is for me to reboot the PC. However, if I open the file in Acrobat DC the problem returns.
I have been looking around on the forum and found this problem dates back to 2012!!!! REALLY?????
I have now found a workaround to fix the problem but surely Adobe should have sorted a permanent fix for this by now. Not impressed
HTML to PDF - Defining Page Breaks
Hi there.
I've converted a HTML text page to PDF with no problems, but I'd like to control the way pages break better.
Is there a way for me to keep continuous paragraphs uninterrupted?
Here's what the text looks like:

I'd like pages to always split along line breaks and not interrupt the paragraphs.
Hope you can help, thanks
combining Word documents
Hi there,
Even though 'not supported' (some even say 'not compatible'), I'm running Acrobat 9 Pro under Windows 10 and, in general, it works fine.
I am used to being able to combine a number of MS Office documents (generally only Word and Excel ones) into a single PDF using Acrobat. However, I now find that when 'adding files' (to do that combining), Acrobat (with 'all supported formats' selected) does not 'see' any Office files other than Excel ones, and the drop-down list of file formats also only has Excel. If I manually type in the name of, say, a Word file, I merely get an error saying that Acrobat cannot convert this file type to PDF.
It's not the end of the world, since I can covert the individual Word etc. files individually to PDF (using Office itself, or utilities) and then use Acrobat to combine them, but it's a bit inconvenient (i.e. 'a pain'), so I wonder what has caused this change in behaviour and if there's anything I can do about it?
Kind Regards, John
