I want text to pop up when a mouse hovers over a link I've created in a PDF using Acrobat 9. This should help explain the link. Can someone help me figure out how to do that? Thank you in advance for the help.

Using a PDF form to retrieve data from customers
Hi all,
I am sure this can be done but since I am new to 'all this', I'm not sure how to pose or search for the answer properly. I want to use Acrobat to create a fillable form PDF so that I can send it out to customers. Once they fill the form out and return it to me I can then import the data that resides in the the 'fields' in the background of the PDF form into a database or spreadsheet. Am I thinking about this correctly? At this stage I do not want to pursue hosting the document on a website (for simplicity reasons) but just be able to send somebody the blank form, they fill it out and return it to me and instead of copying the information to a database, I can import the data.

What version of Adobe do I need to merge an Excel file into an already existing fillable PDF form?
I have a fillable PDF that is already created by an outside source that I need to be able to populate with an Excel file of data. What version of Adobe will allow me to identify the fillable field names and then merge the Excel data into the PDF to create thousands of unique filled PDFs?

What software of yours do I need to buy, that will do Content Editing Add Text & Add Image
On my laptop I have Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.09, and within it I make good use of two functions on open PDF files, Under top right corner Tools, then Add Image & Add Text.
Please tell me which one of your software's I need to buy to replicate these two functions on a second laptop?

Multiple Sessions
Continue to get box from Acrobat Distiller that says "Another instance of Distiller is busy starting up. This instance cannot continue." I then click on button to make it go away and soon it comes up again, and again, and again. I have shut off my computer, re-booted and still happens. Please contact me to correct this.

Every time I try to convert a word file to PDF, I get a messarge indicating that I need to install PDF maker files. The message also tells me to run repair, which is not effective.

Movie Embedded in PDF Problem
I'm not sure what forum this problem would fall under. I'm having a problem getting a movie to play within a PDF when using Internet Explorer. It plays fine on other browsers. The movie is a large file which makes the PDF pretty large. Is there a way to reduce the size of the movie file to make the PDF smaller? Or is the size of the movie/PDF not the issue? I'm not adept at using movie files or putting PDFs on the Web - so maybe there's a simple solution that I'm missing? Thanks for any help you can provide.

OCR docs unable to save and restore
When scanning docs to PDF there are a few error messages that prompt:
A: A file I/O error has occurred
B: Unknown error after command is to OCR a doc
C: File seems to save after OCR, however, it does not save correctly and becomes corupt, unable to restore after trying to OCR a doc.
D: The document could not be saved. A file I/O error has occurred.

Customize a checkbox button
Hi All,
I am having difficulty customizing the look of checkboxes in an interactive PDF.
In Illustrator, I have created both views (on and off) of how I would like the check box to look. I have tried in both indesign and acrobat pro to create a button where when you click it once it is visible, click it again and it is invisible, and so on and so forth. However, I can only get the "check" to appear while holding down the click. Once I lift up, the check is gone.
Looking for some troubleshooting help!

Adobe Acrobat Pro XI hangs when text is highlighted
When I repeatedly highlight text in yellow in a document, Adobe will hang. I will get a small blue circle that flutters that last about 30 seconds, then everything is fine. I have checked for updates and none are available. Out of ten highlights, it will hang at least 5 times.

How to stop page panel refresh?
Is there a way to STOP the page panel refreshing? I tend to create a lot of large multiple page acrobat documents and have to edit them frequently as new information rolls in. I usually collect all my PDF's using the select "combine supported files in Adobe", and then when it comes time to edit them I open up the page panel sidebar and select the pages(s) that I need to replace. It is extremely frustrating to replace a page and wait for the entire document to refresh before I can continue on to the next edit. If I try and hurry this up and continue editing while it's refreshing I run the risk of it crashing.

PDF to TIFF error: Image is too wide to output Acrobat X Pro
I have been using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to convert PDFs to TIFFs. All of the sudden this week I am getting an error saying the Image is too wide to convert. These are files I previously converted without a problem. I am specifying resolution of 360 pixels in the TIFF settings (which is what I have always used). I installed the latest maintenance (10.1.12) but still get the error. The files are 17" wide x 11" high. Any idea why I am getting this error all of the sudden and how to fix it? I send the files to a colleague on the same Acrobat Pro X release and they do not get the errors. Reboot resolves for 1 file, then the error comes back.

Jumpy mouse cursor: bug in Acrobat 10.1.12?
Is there a patch or fix for erratic mouse (jumpy cursor) at the edge of an Acrobat application window? When I move the cursor over any of the four sides or edges of an open window without clicking, the cursor jumps back and forth over the edge/border. This only happens when Acrobat is the active application, i.e. not when I'm using another application but happen to move my mouse over the boundaries of the Acrobat window.
This seems to have appeared suddenly.
OS: Mac 10.6.8.
Things I've tried:
Reboot
Changing to different mouse
Changing the mousing surface
Cleaning the mouse lens
Closing other open applications

How to move content after editing
Hi All ,
I use adobe pro to edit an existing pdf file .
In this pdf file , there is a graphic , I can use text edit function to cut this graphic , it works fine .
However , the page will become blank after cut the graphic , for example , there is a graphic on the upper of page 2 , after cut the graphic , this part will become blank.
How can the content of page 3 move upwards , that mean the content of page 3 replace the blank part of page 2 ? thanks
