Error Placing Image. Selecting Touch Up Object Tool, Right clicking and selecting Insert Image, select a jpeg file (or any other picture file), and get error "Incorrect PDE Object type".
Using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 with Windows 8.1. I can't even insert an image created in Photoshop Essentials.
What does interactive objects mean? Is it only audio, video, 3D objects?
Please help with this issue.

Hi, folks, I am a little desperate and need some help here:
when I conver power point with note into pdf, I chose: Print>set Print with note, somehow, the upper page (ppt contents) image is blurred, while the lower notes portion is quite OK. I do not have this problem when I work with Windows XP, but I just can't figure out why it does not work in Windows 7. I just do not know what I can do, pls help.

My question is this:
I am running the beta version 43.0b9 of Mozilla Firefox and it requires all add-ons to have a verified signature or whatever, so it disabled my Adobe Acrobat DC - Create PDF 15 add-on. How do I get that add-on back? Is it because I'm running the beta version or is it because Adobe hasn't updated their add-on verified signature or whatever?
Any light shed on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I have Acrobat Pro XI Installed and two users for Chrome. I removed the ver 11 extension from chrome and installed the latest (15+), but now when I click on "Convert webpage to PDF..." it gives me the following messsage:
A supported version of Acrobat could not be found. Install a free 30-day trial.
Any assistance on how to fix this error would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have been using Acrobat X and XI in the past few weeks to convert MS Word documents to PDF. I am running into one problem for which I have yet to find a solution: If there are "masked" URL's in the Word documents Acrobat won't create working URL's for them. For example: If I have a sentence that says Click Here behind which is the actual url such as "www.somewhere.com/documents/thisdoc.docx" then that "link" will not work in the finished PDF file. But if I remove the mask so that the documents have the actual url visible then those url's will be active in the finished PDF. The problem is that this just won't work for me as I am working with a vast library of Word docs which are being converted and posted on the web.
Has anyone experienced this? Perhaps it is something obvious that I am overlooking. I would appreciate any pointers or suggestions.

Today my firefox suddenly crashed while converting a web page to pdf and after that "Web page to pdf" tool bar is missing in my firefox, please help me to fix it.
I also tried disabling/enabling the add-ons, but it made no difference.
I also tried uninstalling/reinstalling/repairing, but they also did not make any difference.

I have been using Acrobat XI for quite a while. All of the sudden the crop tool is not dragging how I want it to. I't almost as if it was dragging to guides which there are none. Any Idea? Just started happening the beginning of this week.
When optimizing a pdf I always get the message about some images were not down sampled - I would like to know what downsampling means, does downsampling images make the optimized file size smaller, how to I make Arobat Pro downsample images
Choosing background image for a PDF Portfolio in Acrobat Pro X i get the following dialog box message: "If the portfolio contents are not displayed correctly, try closing the portfolio file and reopening it. If this does not fix the problem, try switching portfolio layouts."
If i save the PDF Portfolio and reopen it, the same dialog box message is displayed at time of opening.
Changing layouts does not fix the issue.
Image file type is .jpg. This happens with the majority of the .jpg files i need to use.
I'm using Acrobat DC Pro on Windows 7. When I convert HTML files to PDF, data is lost when the page break is in a table row. The HTML files are table intensive. I was hoping to find out how to change settings so that the output PDF would be continuous vs. pages, or shrink to fit on page vs. fit to width. Any ideas?

Hopefully some of you folks can help me, as I cannot get in touch with Adobe customer service. I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI. In my old version of Acrobat Pro, I used to be able to take a PDF file of large size (let's say 10 MB) and shrink it down considerably with relative ease (down to less than 1 MB). The file could then be easily emailed, shared, read, and most importantly wouldn't take up tons of hard drive space. With this new version of Acrobat Pro XI, that same 10 MB file barely reduces down to 7 or 8 MB. I have played with the various settings in both the File -> Save As Other -> Reduced Sized PDF and File -> Save As Other -> Optimized PDF. Regardless of what I try, I cannot achieve anywhere near the same compression results as what I used to be able to achieve with my old version of Pro. I can get the file size reduced, but the reduced file quality is trash.
Has anyone else encountered this problem as well? Do any of you have any suggestions on what to do to fix?? I primarily scan a document as a PDF file with my HP OfficeJet Pro, and then reduce the PDF file size after the scan. I could scan the document with lower DPI to begin with (currently scan 300 dpi typically grayscale), but then I don't have the scanned image quality that I need to reduce the file down so that it can be reprinted later at a good enough quality.

I am trying to create a book cover file in PDF. I have created the file in Photoshop, but the "Save AS PDF" function does not create the type of PDF I need for publishing a book through IngramSpark. So I downloaded the trial version of Acrobat Pro DC. It will not open a file that I save from Photoshop as a PDF. When I save as a Jpeg, it takes me to the subscription purchasing page online. I only downloaded the trial yesterday, so I should have 29 days left. Please help. Thanks!
