We purchased, and have successfully been using Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard to generate PDF's from a PCB layout package using the Adobe PDF "printer". We are using Windows 7 Professional. Normally once the user "prints" the output to the Adobe PDF printer, a popup window is presented for the user to browse to a folder and assign a filename to the PDF file being generated. After years of working properly, that popup stopped coming up. Now all that happens is that "jobs" accumulate in the Adobe PDF print queue.
Tried reinstalling with a newly issued serial number (a new serial number that Adobe provided online since the old servers for "registering" Adobe 8 were no longer in service).

Mohammad Sameer:
I would like to inform you that acrobat 8 has become the end of life software that is why we do not have the activation servers available for this, however we have a replacement file that will activate this product but to install that file you will have to uninstall the existing acrobat 8
After that go to this link and then run the file present in number 6point.

After that, please go to this below link, scroll down and click on acrobat 8, after that click on sign in and then read all the instructions to install the replacement file.

If you face any issue in this, please refer to the self help link as this product is supported on the forums link.

We followed the procedure described above with the cc-cleaner. We created a new Adobe ID and received a new Acrobat 8 serial number and were able to download a new "installer" but when we run the downloaded installer, it tries to download a new copy of Adobe 8. The download of the new copy of Adobe 8 never completes. It appears that the file the new installer tries to download doesn't exist. We use our old CD media and put in the newly provided serial number. The install seemed to complete without issue, but the original problem of the popup browser not appearing when the user prints to the Adobe PDF "printer" is still there.
So we need help to either fix the existing installed Acrobat 8 so that when a user "prints" a PDF using Adobe PDF printer it provides the user a browser window to put a new PDF file or else fix the download so that we can download and install a "new" Acrobat 8 Standard
