Compilato un pdf con campi modulo l'ho salvato come PDF/a . alla riapertura i campi sono solo riempiti da puntini e non ne leggo più il contenuto. Come si apre un file pdf/a ?

Font Substitution Issues with PDFMaker
Hello-
Windows 10/Office Professional+ 2016/Adobe PDFMaker 19.
Having an issue (for 6+ months) using the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin where one (1) typeface of a font gets substituted for another typeface of the same font during the "Create/Save as Adobe PDF" process. I have this issue using Word, PowerPoint, etc.
I'm using an Open Type font (Mercury) and the "Roman" typeface gets replaced throughout the document for the "Bold" typeface. The only Mercury typeface in the document is the "Roman" one, "Bold" is not used in the document. The only solution I have found (and be able to use PDFMaker) is to delete the "Bold" typeface from my computer. This is not a great solution as I use those other typefaces in INDD, AI, etc. This issue began after my computer was upgraded from Windows 7/Office 2013, things worked fine before then.
I am embedding fonts (it embeds the "bold" face not the "roman" one in the PDF) and have tried a variety of Conversion Settings to no avail.
I can Print as Adobe PDF (using Distiller) and the document comes through fine, "Exporting" does as well but the file size is massive. Everything points to the PDFMaker as the source of the issue (or the one setting in 10,000 i haven't tried).

Come posso proteggere selettivamente con password o altro un campo modulo?
Vorrei creare un modulo con valori compilabili dall'utente e valori modificabili dall'interessato. Supponiamo un'iscrizione in cui però le date possono variare. Le date le può variare solo chi predispone il modulo. In questo caso servirebbe una modifica "gerarchica". Una parte dei campi modificabili da un "amministratore", un'altra parte invece a disposizione degli iscritti. È possibile?

Help solving create PDF problem
I have a paid-up, activated Creative Cloud subscription that includes Acrobat DC. All of a sudden, whenever I try to save a Word doc or docx as a PDF it won't do it.
- In the word document when I choose 'save as PDf' I get this message, 'Your request could not be completed. Adobe Acrobat license has either expired or not been activated. Try Launching Adobe Acrobat.'
- So I launch Acrobat and try and open the Word doc and get this message, 'An unexpected error occurred. PDF Maker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF.
I have tried old Word docs, created new ones, tried Word docs sent to me by other people, all with the same above two results.

Watermark not showing up on all pages
Anyone out there have any insights into making sure watermarked text show up on all pages of an Acrobat document.
We are placing these on a large format PDF (22x34) 14 page document and for some reason, there are two pages, #11 and #12 that do not show the watermark.
We have selected the watermark to appear on all pages.
On another note: are watermarks only removable by the creator of the PDF?

Calculate Date Field Based on Digital Signature Date
How do I auto fill a date field based on a digital signature? The form I am working with has a digital signature field and a date field right next to it. I need the date field to be filled with the date in DDMMMYYYY format matching the date the digital signature was applied. I think this should be pretty easy, but I don't see how to do it. One other caveat, I have the digital signature field set to "mark as read only" several other fields in the PDF. I would like to be able to keep that functionality if possible. Thanks for your help.

InDesign Export PDF - Missing PageLabels
Hi,
We have workflow like, the PDF file generated from InDesign will pass through other tools (Say PDF Libraries) for some checking. In which one of the process we extract the PDF page labels using PDF libraries, based on the PDF specification "R/Type/Catalog/PageLabels".
When I have InDesign document with with starting from page number "1" (say 1-10) then I do not get "R/Type/Catalog/PageLabels" in the exported PDF. (But when I generate PS to PDF, I could get the PageLabels. Unfortunately, we do not use PS to PDF workflow). Whereas, when I have InDesign document with starting from other than "1" (say 2-10), PDF libraries read the "R/Type/Catalog/PageLabels".
Please advise how to get the "R/Type/Catalog/PageLabels" even when I have PDF document starting from 1.

Hyper Links how to search for them in a pdf?
We create a multi page quarterly report every quarter. In the report there are many links to external places. I need a way to comb through the entire pdf to expose the links to make sure they are correct. Yes I could manually go through the entire thing to make sure the links are correct but there must be an easier way?

Why am I getting an error message when trying to combine files into one PDF file?
When I select multiple PDF files and try to combine them into one document, I get a message that "Adobe Acrobat has encountered and unidentified error" and no file is being created. This problem has only recently started as I have been able to merged documents in the past.

Combine files processing options in Acrobat, and error handling
Suppose I have a folder containing 500 files, which look like they are word files, and I want to merge these into 1 or more pdfs.
1) Can I set the batch merge process to ignore / report on any 'problem' files?
- Suppose 3 of the 500 are password protected & cannot be opened.
- Suppose 2 of them are not recognisable filetypes ( eg .DD88888).
- Suppose 1 of them is marked up as .DOC, but is in fact an MP3 disguised.
- How do I handle these problems seamlessly, and go on to create a pdf of the remaining valid documents, and hopefully have a log at the end reporting what's happened?
2) Can I set the batch operation to start building a new pdf when a certain threshold is reached. EG when MyMergeDoc_1.pdf reaches 100 pages, I want to start building MyMergeDoc_2.pdf, then MyMergeDoc_3.pdf and so on?
- Can I use different criteria eg MyMergeDoc_1.pdf has reached 'n' megabytes in size?

Size of single combined PDF file is smaller than the total size of the original files
I have several PDF files that I'd like to combine into one single PDF file, so I used the "Combine Files" option in Acrobat DC. However, after creating that single PDF file I noticed that its size is 245 MB while the total size of the combined files is 321 MB!
In the "Options" window I selected the "Larger File Size" option and left all other options in the list unchecked. So provided that there wasn't any compression or downsampling during the combination process, shouldn't the file size of the single PDF file be the same as the total size of the combined files? Has anybody else noticed that again?

Manually change the order number of a PDF within a portfolio
How can you change the actual order number (not sort by order in a descending or ascending manner) of each PDF within a portfolio? In previous version of Adobe Acrobat, when creating or editing a PDF Portfolio you could open a pane labeled "Specify File Details" and within that you could create certain descriptive fields for the specific file. I would create a "Sort" field and utilize 'numbers' rather than text. I would then number the files in the order I want them presented to the reader when opening the file. I could simply 'double click' on that column within the 'specify file details' window and enter whatever number I wanted for that file. In the newest version (I've finally upgraded from CS4 - was very adept at the CS4 version of Acrobat Pro, but this new Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version is too....well, it tries to be too 'user friendly'), I see the "Order" column for each PDF in the portfolio, but I can't seem to edit that number to rearrange the files in the order I choose.
When I 'right click' the individual PDF, I get the pop up that says; "Edit Value", but the only options are "Name" and "Description".

Radio buttons required are not working
I had radio button options that need to be required before the user can submit. It used to work but now it stopped! The text fields are still required and working, but the radio buttons (even though should required) are not working. The user can submit without them! How do I fix this?

Cannot Set TIFF and TIF files to open in Adobe DC Pro
I am using windows 10 with Adobe DC pro Version 2008.008.20081 and trying to set TIF and TIFF files to open with it instead of windows photo viewer. At first when I would select Adobe DC it would change the default to Nero, so I deleted Nero. Now it does nothing and stays as photo viewer. Tried using the open with and select as default, it opens with DC but doesn't change default. Tried in default apps to set as Adobe DC, no luck, does nothing when I select Adobe DC. Tried to select it from programs> Photo viewer and change it there, nothing. Tried right clicking on a file and change in properties, no luck there either.

Cannot create pdf larger than 8.5x11
I am using framemaker 7.0. I am trying to create a pdf in acrobat 7.0 that is 11x17. I cannot create any pdf that is larger than 8.5x11. If I select Print to microsoft pdf I get pages are larger than the printer paper. If I try to save as in adobe pdf in framemaker i get "Framemaker could not find adobe PDF printer instance, which must be installed to execute save as command. If I try to open the framemaker file in acrobat I get the message cannot open the file because it is not a supported file type or because it was damaged.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creating PDF files from ACCESS reports
Since now I used ACROBAT X PRO on a WINDOWS Vista pc based and produced PDF files from ACCESS (Office 2007 Professional) reports and all works fine; Now I changed the pc with a WINDOWS 10 Pro with the same software but the new PDF file that I obtain are always in vertical format instead orizontal. Itry to change the layout default to ORIZONTAL without success.
Do you have some suggestion?

Reinstalling old version of Acrobat as upgrade without original license code
I recently had my operating system upgraded to Windows 10 and am trying to re-install an old version of Acrobat (Version 9) from a disk. The serial number is included on the package, but it is itself an upgrade from an even older version, and Adobe needs to know the serial number from the original product, which I no longer seem to have. Is there any way around this problem without my having to purchase a newer version of Acrobat?
