I had the free trial of Acrobat 9 pro and I was able to export tables to Excel without any issues. Bought Acrobat 9 and now I am not able to get the tables exported. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is pro that much better for exporting tables?

Problems creating a PDF from a large Visio (2010) document
Hello
Heres the setup, Windows 7, 64bit, Visio 2010 std, Adobe Acrobat X Standard, a 6.7mb .vsd file with a custom size of 6000 x 3000 mm that I want to convert to a pdf (not for printing)
Using File menu & save as in Visio converts to a pdf with great quality but cuts the page off, I've spent all day reading about the 200" issue and thats exactly where the cut off is.
Using right click on the .vsd file in explorer and convert to pdf opens the correct page size in the pdf but the drawing is screwed up, lines moved about, missing stuff etc.
I dont know
a) Why there is a difference between the 2 ways of creating the pdf
b) how to have my cake and eat it! Good quality and right size page
Unfortunately I cannot use any third party apps, am I screwed?
Thank you everyone for looking and maybe even offering advice
Cheers
Stu
Change PDF save version to 1.5
Using an Epson scan software with a Epson Workforce DS-510 scanner to scan multiple page scans - 5-50 pages. Output file is then opened in Nuance Paper Port 14 to unstack the scanned documents for individual file renaming and then move to appropriate file folders.
Nuance Paper Port 14 requires the PDF to be 1.5.
Epson tech support says the PDF version is controlled by Adobe Acrobat Standard XI which is assigning version 1.4
I am running version Acrobat XI 11.0.10
So does XI support V1.5 outputs?
How do you change it - have not found a place to do it.
Adobe Acrobat Standard/Pro freezing when opening large PDF documents
Ok, I have a tough one. Adobe Acrobat X Standard/Pro keeps freezing when opening large documents that exceed approx. 50 pages. These PDF documents contain large images and graphs for mining purposes, but no links. The issue impacts multiple users on multiple laptops/desktops. We have tried the following:
- Uninstalling/re-installing Adobe Acrobat
- Disabling Enhanced Security in Acrobat Preferences
- Resetting local user profiles
- Changing Reading Preferences to view current visible pages only
- Installing Adobe Acrobat XI
This issue has only occurred after upgrading users to a Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit Operating System.
The only possible solution I have managed to find is changing a registry key that permanently disables the Enhanced Security options in Acrobat. This solution however, only worked on brand new user profiles. Resetting user profiles throughout our entire company is not something we are even going to consider.
If anyone would like more information that I have missed, please feel free to ask.
No cursor shows over GoBack button
I 'drew' a button – which I call 'GoBack' – in Acrobat over an arrow created in the source InDesign document. Under Actions in Button Properties, I selected Mouse Up and in Select Action chose Execute a menu item: View>Go To>Previous Page then close but when I then go to hover over the arrow-button no 'finger' cursor appears as I would hoped it would. The button appears to be inactive. Know I'm missing something here and would be grateful for any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong or steps missed out.
In anticipation, Michael
Acrobat Search Function disabled on download
I use Acrobat 9 Pro (v9.5.5) to create a 92 page document for my customers to download (http://s3.amazonaws.com/suncam/pdocs/125_.pdf). Some customers are unable to access the search panel (Shift+Control+F) or the search button that we include on the first page of the document. It appears to be security settings on customer machine.
Is there a way to ensure access to the mission critical search function?
Why is my "Combined PDF" file size smaller than the original files?
Hello!
I am trying to combine two individual PDF files into a single PDF. Each file is 32mb, however when I use acrobat to combine them, the newly created "combined" file is only 19mb. I believe I've taken the necessary steps to ensure no degradation is happening (i.e. selecting Large File Size in the options panel), but I am still puzzled as to how two files can be put together as one and be smaller than the two separate files with out any compression. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!
Trying to delete a .pdf and get the error: The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program.
Adobe Acrobat X Pro version 10.1.12: Save As, Reduce Size PDF
I am running Adobe Acrobat X Pro version 10.1.12. The File > Save As > Reduced Size PDF..." does not work. The file size barely changes, if it changes at all. In some cases, the file size is slightly larger after saving using the reduced size PDF option. In previous versions, the option would drastically reduce the document size. The documents are all text in black/white with no graphics and usually Times New Roman or Arial type fonts. Nothing fancy. Is this a bug in this version? I have been unsuccessful in finding a fix. Optimizing does nothing. Any insight you may provide will be most helpful. Thank you in advance.
Converting MS Word Into PDF Produces Blank Pages
Hi All,
I hope somebody can help, i'm working with a MS Word document that was created by one of our users and is trying to convert the document into a PDF using Adobe Acrobat X (version 10). She does this either by doing a simple file save As and selecting the .pdf extension or using the Print To Adobe PDF function. After she converts the word document into a PDF and opens it up, some of the pages which is meant to contain text and images have completely disappeared and are replaced by blank pages. Some pages that have been converted have been successful while others are just blank white pages, no errors appear.
I've tested this by converting a completely different word document into a PDF which doesn't contain any images/graphs ect and this seem to work fine. Another test that i have done is to ask a colleague of mine to do the same test on the document but when he converts this all pages are produced successfully without any blank pages.
The user that has this problem is using Windows 7, is a laptop user with MS Office 2010 and as mentioned uses Adobe Acrobat X. I have replicated the issue on my work laptop and fiddled around with Adobe for printer settings for 3 hrs in particular sections that tailor towards images but no luck. The word document has 8 pages and after converting into PDF it also produces 8 pages , 4 of which has blank pages.
I've also looked at other forums but i've can't find any results that deal with my specific issue. My though is that Adobe Acrobat Standard is not translating or reading the images onto pdf. I've attached a screenshot of the produced PDF as an example, the first page is fine while the second page is blank and the blue is my doing(disregard that). I would be very greatful if somebody can kindly tell me what settings i need to do ensure that i and the user can convert the document successfully.

Can't delete or move PDF
I am using Acrobate Pro version 9.5.1 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Once I have created a PDF, I find I am unable to move or delete the file. If I reboot the machine, I can delete or move the file, but as soon as I open a PDF, the problem is back until I reboot again.
It appears others have had the same problem, but I don't see any solutions. Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds?
TIA,
Joe Parsons
How do I add a layer to existing pdf
I have an existing pdf that I want to change the color of the layer that is set to the back. How do I add a layer to do this?
Why is appending to pdf from outlook so slow?
When I try to append a series of emails from Outlook 2010 to pdf it is very slow, even for small files.
I have tried the following with nil joy:
Reg delete “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ColumnHandlers\{F9DB5320-233E-11D1-9F84-707F02C10627}”
Open a commandbox (cmd.exe) with administrator rights.
Go to the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX
Type regsvr32.exe /u pdfshell.dll (this command will unregister the pdfshell.dll)
Please help, this is very annoying.
Adobe Conversion with Outlook
We have windows 7 and work off of Microsoft outlook. We use the "convert to PDF" regularly and are constantly running into issues after the pdf is saved for a while. The error code we get is :
Acrobat could not open "cust pics 6.pdf"(for example) because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Please advise as we use the button specifically for outlook to convert to Adobe PDF. We sometimes have to save things 2 and 3 times.
How to correct parameter supplied to a PDS procedure
I am trying to extract pages from a very large unprotected .pdf document. Error message: Wrong type parameter supplied to a PDS procedure. I am using Acrobat XI Pro on Windows 7. This message occurs whether I try to extract one or multiple pages.

Calculation Scripts Aren't Working!
I have two calculation scripts that were working but now are not after some adobe updates. It isn't making any sense to me and I haven't been able to figure it out. Can anyone see where my problem might be??
The scripts are:
// custom calculation script lenderstitle;
// lenderstitle = (loanamount * .0026) round up to neareast 10th; // compute value;
var lenderstitle = this.getField("loanamount").value * 0.0026; // round value;
event.value = MyRound(lenderstitle, 1);
and
// ownerstitle = (((loanamount * .0046) - lenderstitle)) round up to nearest 10th
// compute value
var ownerstitle = this.getField("loanamount").value * 0.00465 - this.getField ("lenderstitle").value;
// round value;
event.value = MyRound(ownerstitle, 1);
Any help to solve this mystery would be greatly appreciated!
I cannot combine multiple Word documents into a single PDF
Microsoft Office Word 2010 (Version 14.0.7128.5000 (64 bit)
Windows 7 SP1 (64 bit)
Acrobat X Pro (Version 10.1.12) and Acrobat XI Pro (Version 11.0.0)
The Word documents were created on the local drive.
I can print to pdf printer in Word.
I can convert to PDF from Acrobat toolbar in Word.
I cannot covert to PDF from right-click on file.
I cannot drag Word documents into the Combine Files dialogue.
Here are the steps to take to recreate the issue:
Open Adobe X/XI Pro
Click "Combine Files into PDF"
Drag 2 Word documents into Combine Files dialogue box
Click Combine Files
I immediately here the dreaded "uhoh, you goofed" sound. The process attempts to continue and I notice, under the Merging Files header, PDF conversion failed, please correct the error and retry. The process then moves onto the second Word document... "you goofed" sound, PDF conversion failed, please correct.
And then, as if the previous two errors weren't filled with information, I get No PDF files was created because Acrobat encountered an unidentified error (brilliant!).
There are no events in Event Viewer
I've uninstalled/re-installed Acrobat X Pro
I've uninstalled/re-installed Office 2010
Any ideas? I've seen the error around dating back as far as 2008 in some threads. I've attempted some of those "fixes" to no avail.
Any information would be wonderful!
Thanks.
Acrobat XI moving headings when I export
I just upgraded from Acrobat X to XI Pro. I'm working on a couple documents, and now when I export them to PDF from Word, some of the headings are getting moved around. It seems that when there's a Heading 3 in the Word doc, that heading gets moved down to the next element, which should be Normal, when I export.
This was not happening when I was exporting the same documents with Acrobat X. A colleague who is also using XI Pro is not having this issue, but we're using different versions of Word (I have 2013; his is earlier). Any ideas?
