Using Acrobat X Pro when trying to save a PDF as an Image - JPEG format, the Acrobat application fails with an error: "Acrobat could not save a page in this document because of the following error: Insufficient disk space to perform the operation (Page 1)". Please help with a solution to this problem. The problem is not because of insufficient disk space on my PC.
Acrobat X Pro Error when Save As JPEG: Insufficient Disk Space to Perform Operation
Images placed behind text in Word 2010 come forward to cover text after conversion to PDF.
System Specs:
Windows 7, Word 2010, Acrobat XI
I have highlighted several paragraphs thoughout the book I am writing by placing an image behind them. These images are set to display behind the text, leaving the text readable. So the image provides a sort of background for those select paragraphs.
They look great in Word 2010.
And the PDF looked great when I exported it from Word 2007 using Acrobat 9 (At least, I think it was 9...).
But now, when I convert to PDF using Word 2010 and Acrobat XI, the image gets moved in front of the text; completly obscuring it.
Anyone ever seen this? Any suggestions?
EDIT - To be clear, I'm doing the conversion using the PDF tools Acrobat puts into Word when it is installed.
How do I maintain the full bookmarks (pdf title and lower level topics) for pdfs that are merged into a single pdf?
I am trying to merge pdfs that have bookmarks. One of the files that I'm merging has multiple topics that appear in its bookmarks, but when I merge it with another document that doesn't have topics, only the titles appear in the bookmarks. Is there a way to maintain the topic level information in the bookmarks of the merged pdf?
Thanks and regards

Why is PDFMaker using faux italics when creating pdf from Word?
Hi,
I have a word 2013 document using an opentype font, namely The Sans. Some of the words using that font are in italics.
If I print (Ctrl+P) the document to Adobe PDF, the pdf looks fine, and the fonts embedded in the PDF as reported by Acrobat are The Sans and The Sans Italic.
But if I use the PDFMaker plugin, the words in italics use some kind of faux italic, where the regular letters are just slanted. The font embedded in the PDF as reported by Acrobat is only The Sans.
I got sick of trying every possible parameter in the Word plugin, any idea of what to? Printing the document top pdf and then adding all the bookmarks by hand would be excruciatingly tedious.
I could also open the PDF in acrobat and select every occurence of an italic word, then re-set it to italic, which then uses the right italic version of the font, but come on...
Best,

Functionality of Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac questions?
Greetings! After 35 years in the Windows environment, I became the proud owner of a MacBook air last night, and I want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac on it. I would like to know if the features and functionality of the Mac version are the same as those on the Adobe Acrobat Standard that I have been using in my Windows environment for so many years.
The Windows version gives me everything I need, most importantly the ability to add text as annotations into documents that have been scanned and sent to me as PDFs, fill in forms, create forms, etc.
Additionally, can someone help me with the differences between the subscription version and the full purchase version? Does the subscription version have any problems, is it just as functional as the full purchase version?
Thank you so much all!
S.
Converting Word Documents to PDF Loses Header
OK, so a two page Word (2010) document with headers on the second page. Using the latest update for Adobe Acrobat XI.
If I print>save as .pdf, it works fine. However, we often combine multiple files together into one PDF, so it is inconvenient to have to do this for each file first.
If I right click on the file(s), then combine or convert to PDF, the headers disappear from the top of the second page.
Can anyone offer any insight?

Seeking an Adobe Consultant
I would like to hire an Adobe expert to help me with download deliverability of PDF documents.
I sell continuing education courses to engineers and all courses require download of a PDF course document. Here is a sample of one such document that is particularly troublesome because of the search button. http://s3.amazonaws.com/suncam/pdocs/125_.pdf
The total volume of download traffic is about 2000 per month.

Problems Exporting to Excel in Acrobat XI
I have some problems exporting a PDF to excel in Acrobat Std or Pro XI but not in Acrobat Std or Pro X. When exporting in X all the columns and rows are created as they should be, but in XI everything is slammed to the left in one column. Has anyone experienced anything like this and is there maybe a setting that I am missing in the conversion process that was automatic in X but is not in XI?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Help needed with audio files in pdf
I added mp3 audio files to a multi page pdf document via Acrobat Pro and the files play fine for me when I open the pdf. My client, however, doesn't even see the audio player rectangles after opening the pdf. Is there something I'm missing to make these files play for everyone who opens the document, every time? My client prefers that the audio files be embedded in the pdf, rather than using links.

Unable to open Acrobat X in Windows 7
Acrobat was working fine this afternoon, but this evening, it won't open at all. I went to Word and tried to convert a document use pdf maker. An error popped up stating that acrobat is not activated (it was this afternoon...and all of the other CS6 applications are runing and are activated). I have no way to check this or fix it because I can't open the program. I have tried repairing the program, but repairing it has no effect. I tried restoring the system to an earlier date, but that also had no effect.
I don't know what to do. I can even open the program to debug it. ANY suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
